Lucid problems and fixes
Every documented Air and Gravity problem with its fix: an official recall, a software update, Lucid guidance, or a workaround reported by the press. Saudi items come first.
Ask the assistant
Ask about your Lucid as you would ask a knowledgeable friend: a problem, an odd noise, a service center or a part. It answers from this site's pages first, names them, and keeps the conversation going.
Answers are automated and can be wrong. Anything not based on this site's pages is general guidance. For safety issues and serious faults, contact Lucid service directly. Chats are not saved.

Important before tinting the windshield
Tint film installation liquid can run down the base of the windshield into the electronics behind the dashboard. In a reported Lucid Air case (March 2025) the Lucid service center attributed an electrical failure to the tint and estimated about US$7,000 for the repair, outside the warranty.
- Ask the shop to protect the base of the windshield and the dashboard with towels or a waterproof cover, use as little liquid as possible and soak it up as it runs.
- Choose a shop that has tinted Lucids before, and agree in writing who pays for any damage.
- If warnings or screen faults appear after the tint job, contact Lucid service (800 111 1030) and mention the tint.
Evidence: one press report of a single case; the Owner's Manual warns in general that liquids can damage electrical components. We found no Lucid bulletin on tinting and could not confirm a change on 2026 models. If you have a source, write to us. Details and sources

- WorkaroundAir and GravitytiresSaudi Arabia
After parking in strong sun or driving in high ambient heat, tyre pressures read higher than the recommended cold values, and owners may wrongly let air out. This is common in Saudi summers.
FixDo not reduce the pressure of hot tyres. Move the car into shade and let the tyres cool (cold means parked over three hours or driven under about 1.6 km) before checking. Inflate to the cold pressures on the placard or the Tires & Wheels 'RECOMMENDED' tab, check monthly, and never exceed the sidewall maximum.
- WorkaroundAir and GravitytiresSaudi Arabia
Tyres degrade with age from UV light, extreme temperatures and high loads, even with good tread. Strong sun and heat make this relevant in Saudi Arabia.
FixLucid recommends replacing tyres every six years, or sooner if needed. Inspect them regularly, and check alignment if wear is uneven. Do not rotate tyres if front and rear sizes differ.
- Official fixAirtires
The tire and loading information label showed 'NONE' for spare tire instead of the bilingual 'NONE / AUCUN' required in Canada.
FixCompliance notice (not a recall): Lucid corrected the label for new vehicles; no safety impact.
- WorkaroundAirtires
The factory Pirelli tyres can wear out fast, about 19,000 miles in one reported case. On Grand Touring cars with 21-inch wheels, NHTSA complaints describe sidewall bubbles at low mileage. Lucid has not issued a recall.
FixWorkaround: budget for early replacement, consider the 19-inch Aero package (Lucid store, USD 4,250 for wheels and tyres), and check tyre-warranty terms with the tyre maker.
- WorkaroundAir and Gravitytires
The low-tyre-pressure light does not go off right away after the tyres are inflated correctly.
FixDrive at 18 mph (30 km/h) or more so the TPMS can re-read pressures and reset the light. Pressures are shown only after the car exceeds about 21 km/h. After a tyre change, drive 10 minutes for the system to learn the sensors.
- WorkaroundAir and Gravitytires
The TPMS light flashes for about a minute then stays on when the system itself is malfunctioning, for example after fitting non-compatible wheels or tyres, so low pressure may go undetected.
FixCheck pressures manually with a gauge until it is fixed. Make sure replacement wheels and tyres support the TPMS, and contact a Lucid Service Center if the malfunction continues.
- WorkaroundAir and Gravitytires
Frequent low-pressure warnings appear although the tyres are correctly inflated, or the TPMS stops reading after tyre sealant was used or the sensor battery ran down.
FixContact Lucid service to check whether a sensor needs replacing. The TPMS sensor battery cannot be replaced on its own; the whole sensor is changed at an authorised centre. Liquid or aerosol sealants can damage sensors, so tell the technician if you used one. Drive 10 minutes after a new sensor is fitted.
- WorkaroundAirtires
Driving the Air above 155 mph (250 km/h) needs higher cold tyre pressures on most tyre sizes than normal driving.
FixBefore such use, temporarily inflate to the manual's table: for example 45 psi (310 kPa) instead of 42 psi for 20- and 21-inch sizes; 245/45R19 stays at 49 psi. Track use is not covered by the warranty.
- WorkaroundAir and Gravitytires
A puncture may not deflate a tubeless tyre at once, but the tyre can lose pressure suddenly. A sudden vibration or ride disturbance can signal damage.
FixSlow down at once, avoid hard braking or sharp steering, and stop when safe. If there is no sidewall damage, use the tyre repair kit (12 V socket); otherwise have the car towed to a tyre centre or Lucid Service Center. Sealant can damage the TPMS sensor, so tell service if you used it.
